TWOTHIRDS refers to the fact that two thirds of the earth’s surface is covered by water. This is the reason their collections are timeless yet modern reminiscences of the beauty of the ocean. With the use of natural materials, forgoing the use of chemical maces and experimenting with recycled fibers such as old fishing nets, we are contributing to the preservation of our environment.
TWOTHIRDS’ commitment to protecting the ocean is expressed in all aspects of the company. They are constantly working on minimizing ecological damage in their production and distribution. A huge problem, for example, is the disposal of huge amounts of plastic at sea. So they don’t use the polyester packaging that is so common in the apparel industry. They did some research and came across plastic bags made from blue-green algae. Another good argument for this natural resource is the fact that the algae completely dissolves without any residues when they come into contact with the water. And they donate 10 percent of their profits to Oceana, the world’s biggest organization committed to the protection and preservation of the ocean. Protect what you love!
